Can anyone tell me what the line up is and what takes place at these gigs? I have heard they tour under then name JGB but not sure who's involved. Is it a rip off, is it tribute band?

melvin(k)stu(g)marty(b)dave(d)marie and sheryl(s) were there in july of 05. plain white blotter was the game plan. i thought it was a very good show . stu sounds close to jerry in singin and playin . melvin is melvin . the ladies were the best singers id heard in awhile . they were headliners at tabfest. this show was 2 days after i saw them

Stu, the guitar player and lead singer sounds very much like Jerry, it's almost annoying how close he gets. In this way, I kind of look at the band like a tribute band...but Melvin is there so it's also very authentic.

Here's the latest:

it would be so awesome if he dressed up in black tee shirts and had a big grey beard...maybe with a big top hat too! kick ass!

The top hat is a MUST! I saw JGB years ago at a now defunct music festival called Grape Jam outside of Erie, PA. Hell of a good show, but at the time, I kind of thought it was an opportunistic thing (capitalizing off the Man's death), but now I think they're the goods.

John Kahn...RIP....didn't last a year after Jerry left.
